Having problems converting my raw files out of my head unit of an ashtech promark 800 which has a extension of .040. Tried using the Trimble converter with no luck. Anyone had this problem and know a solution?

Hello Mr.

Trimble Software will not recognize such format.

A RINEX Converter tool is available (add-on for GNSS Solutions office software), which supports the ATOM format and new versions of RINEX format.

I will look into this. Thank you.

You may have changed the extension on the RINEX file.

the first character should be the letter O for observation file followed by the last two digits of the year.

I haven't converted it to rinex yet. That's simply the raw data extension my head unit provides to me.

I suppose you need the receiver software I think "gnss solutions" from there manage the necessary file extension as "RINEX"

Must be what I'm missing. Thanks for the info.

You may find some help here:

In addition you could try TEQC from UNAVCO which can be found at:
