Hello everyone,
There is a doubt for me to choose an appropriate major in a M.Sc program. I love both GIS and RS, but I'm seriously in doubt to choose which one in the end. Since I live in Iran, I'm so curious to know that which of these majors has a better position for finding a proper occupation, and , in general, which one is more popular among developed countries?Ā

HelloĀ shahab, here is what I think, GIS is more like a tool for solving problems in various geo-spatial related fields. Remote Ā Sensing is basically one of Ā the methods of acquiring data for use in a GIS environment. I don't know much about Iran,but certainly you will have a good prospect with jobs.You just have to think wide,identify some problems and try to solve them using GIS. I would advice that you focus on GIS and further your studies in Remote Sensing technologies if possible. A combination of both would be really Awesome!Ā

First decide if you are going to University for a job or for to learn something.
If to get a job, look around for openings and salaries and pick.
If to learn. then decide that about which you are curious and pick.
