EMLID recently released a field ready low cost RTK receiver. EMLID website says it's ready for surveying, mapping, monitoring & robotics. One receiver price only $799.

I'm looking for a cost effective, yet survey grade GNSS receiver.
Can anyone share with me more about this product?
We need to use for topographic surveys (Position & Elevation required)

I am unfamiliar with EMLID.
Any tool is cost effective if its user accomplishes the task confidently and makes a profit using it.
Tools and comodities create ROI differently.
LOOKS GREAT.BUT WHAT CONTROLLER OR MOBILE DEVICE CAN WE USE WITH THIS TO VIEW RESULTS .
ALSO IS IT CAPABLE TO DO -VRS OR NTRIP LIKE TRIMBLE 5800 OR LEICA 1200?
BY USING A SIM CARD OR WIFI FROM ANY MOBILE PHONE
Android. IOS or Windows CE based device (a mobile phone, tablet, PDA or a professional survey data logger can be used). REACH has REACHWIEW app to collect data running on any browser. I've seen reviews using TOPCON FC500 with Carlson SurvCE as well.
Yes you're absolutely right. The GNSS industry is heading towards a new direction. There are some other new manufacturers entering into the industry.
Please checkout this link of SWIFT NAVIGATION. They have developed a new low-cost GNSS RTK module.
I can't wait SWIFT put it's evaluation RTK kit into a rugged enclosure for convenient field use.
Thanks very much.
NEEDS A LEICA ATX1230 +GNSS.ANYONE WITH ONE ONE CAN PLEASE SEND ME A QUOTE
Is it possible to make connection between EMLID GPS and CORS system using mobile cell card and internet?
The Reach forum
has a discussion about post processing with a CORS station. Reach RS doesn't come with a mobile 3G modem but does have a UHF module. When I asked they said about possible centimetre RTK with another Reach RS base receiver which is low cost than CORS subscription. I have observed lot of users in the forum are researches, UAV operators etc. Haven't seen somebody used for professional use? May be in future with developments.
There is another duel band, multi constillation ready RTK evaluation base/rover kit for USD1910 on
But no still field ready one.
At this cost, I would be tempted to buy a couple and test them on proven positions. If the specs are real, it would meet most practical needs.
Im no expert, im here to learn more than give advice but if i have something helpful to say i will.
Anyway, the emlid seems to be L1 only with no L2 support. From what i understand this will affect accuracy greatly. Is it not a big deal or am I missing something? Or do they operate with both l1 and l2?
Swift nav looks pretty good and supports all constellations, l1, l2, etc. I did not know they could come with an enclosure. I assumed if i were to get one i would buy a 4700 for parts, sell/give the guts away to someone who can use them and put the swift nav board in it after sealing extra holes etc.
THANKS GUYS.PLEASE FURNISH US WITH THE SOME SPECS
