Where are you surveying?

Hello All,I am trying to create code lists in common csv format to be used on Trimble and Leica total stations. We are running TS15 with Viva platform. I am using LGO v 8.3.0.0. I have been successful previously with running the script but suddenly get an error message even when trying to import from a csv file that I had used before. It is quite frustrating as we have several of each type of instrument in the company and need to be able to easily coordinate data collection with several different field crews. Also, does anyone know how to extract a code list from a job file on the TS15 and transfer it into a new job or onto my computer? Thanks in advanceSteve in OR

  • Mark,

I am using Viva onboard the instrument. Please enlighten me.

    Thanks.

    Brian,

I can post a screen shot of the error message if you can tell me how to post photos.
    • Sorry for the delay, I forgot to look at the posts.
On the controller's main screen: user>tools and utilities> transfer user objects
Select code list and transfer to USB
Then use LGO to register code list which is under the code list icon and then right click to register.
You can then edit code to your liking within LGO and load back in your controller using the same transfer objects utility above.
If you want to create or edit code list in a text file environment, that's a little more complicated.
I suggest you watch a ten minute video on YouTube. Just search:
LGO Video Guide Code Import Script

      Hope this helps!

is someone, who has LGO) willing to help and convert a csv file for me?

        thanks in advance criss

    • Sorry Brian, it's a simple step with the Viva controller. Without it, I don't know ā˜¹ļø
      • What is the process on the controller?I will see if it works on the gun.

  • Are you using the Leica Viva controller? If so, it is quite simple

What error msg are you getting?

I thought you can transfer the code list in GSI 16 or GSI 32 format. I can not comment on the first part of your question.
