Where are you surveying?

Seeking Employment

Hello everyone, I have a few questions. Firstly I want to say I am very tender in this industry, so I don't have much knowledge about abroad. Please help me out. I am a surveyor. I had done diploma in Surveying. I was born and brought up in West Bengal, India. My current citizenship is Indian. It is my dream to work in US/UK and to be settled down there due to some personal family problem. I had contacted many organisations in US/UK such as TECHNICS GROUP, ATLANTIC GEOMATICS etc. but I was unsuccessful every time. They told me that they are less interested with employees outside of US/UK because I don't have the permission to work. I wish to know that do I need any permission to work in US/UK? or there is any other matter? If I need any permissions, then what is it? and where will I get it? please clarify my all doubts. It will help me a lot in my career. Waiting for your reply. Thanks.

Do you know how to get a green card?

Hello and Welcome. Ā The best place to ask this question is inside the Surveyor Relocation Group. Ā Someone in that group may be better qualified to answer this question than I. Ā good luck!

Thank you so much.Ā Surveying Jobber. Thanks for the reply at least. I had thought I am not going to get a single reply to my thread after seeing that 36 people overlooked my thread after seeing it.

Surveyors have little time on the internet so don't get discouraged when someone doesn't immediatly reply. Ā It could mean that you should enter more information and description, include a photo or video to show what you are looking for, etc. Ā Also even though we have close to 8000 members, most questions asked only apply to a certain group of surveyors. Ā Welcome and good luck!
