    Dear George bouillon,

Since i am out of station i can not see your post. Now i have seen your problem,In this case you have to take help of road related software.Since it is in auto cad you can bring it road software. I am using road estimator software which is indian software. In your area you can get road related software.Kindly try for that and solve your problem.

                                                                                                                      With regards

      Dear George bouillon,

Do you solve your problem?.Are you measured in chainage interval such as 15meter or 30 meter .Are Your client ask for long section or cross section drawing. From your auto cad drawing you can bring it your any survey software and do contour. At each chainage you take cross section by profile on contour. And extract chainage crosssection offset data and convert it csv file. After that any road related software you bring the csvdata. and do the cross section.Kindly reply to me if you think.

                                                                    Thanking you.

In which instrument he want to upload it? If is to be used with Trimble controllers ( TSC3 or TSC 7 ) you can download Trimble link for autocad and convert/export your surface to a dtm to be used to stakeout/ monitor elevations directly from controller!
