Land Surveyor

Pentax PCS-2sI recently received a Pentax PCS-2s total station from another surveyor as a gift but i am having a few challenges. I have read the manual for three times now but i have still been unable to solve my little situation. To make coordinate observations one will have to input in the station coordinates and make a back sight observation but my challenge is, when inputting in the station coordinates i am allowed only five slots to key in my digits but my eastings are six digits. IMG-20150328-00197.jpg

Nobody knows Pentax better than Surveyors in the UK!

  • This is the answer I was going to suggest, but I also think in the setting in the "units" you can define the # integer's and your display.  Good Luck.  I ran a pentax total staion with TDS and Trimble data collectors it was great set up.

  • Reduce your values by #000000.0000?

I'll see if I can help you drum up the answers you seek... but just  FYI  asking in the Pentax Support Group forum may bring you more luck because the members of that group are Pentax Users
